Mortal Kombat Review
Written: June 28th, 2011.
The 2011 version of Mortal Kombat packs a serious punch.
Mortal Kombat's story mode is a refreshing change from the old ladder formula since you alternate characters through out the story. Extras are unlocked via points spent in the krypt and include additional fatalities, alternate costumes, background music, and behind the scenes artwork. This offers plenty of replay for those who like to unlock everything. PS3 owners also get to use Kratos as a playable character outside of story mode.
When compared to other recent fighting game releases, Mortal Kombat sets the bar high with plenty of game modes available in the released version of the game unlike Street Fighter 4 which offered most of their game modes as purchasable DLC.
